Features

What is "Graphene", a material harder than diamond?
"Graphene" 's Features
Graphene is the thinnest substance obtained by extracting one of the stacked layers from a solid carbon. Since carbon-to-carbon bonds are stronger than diamond, it is harder than diamond in a flat plane, and is considered to be one of the top-class substances in terms of tensile strength, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity.
Effect on sound
Due to the physical characteristics of graphene, the following effects can be achieved by coating the diaphragm.
- "Speed" of sound propagation speed
The entire diaphragm reproduces the sound as a unit. It is especially excellent in high frequency range reproducibility - "Hardness" that will not be deformed when vibrating
Suppressing the split vibration of diaphragm is the reason of causing muddy sound - "Lightness" to move the diaphragm quickly
Performing outstanding response characteristics
"Graphene" is the next possibile of Nobel Prize-winning material
Graphene is a relatively new material discovered in 2004. The scientists who discovered graphene won the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics for "Innovative Experiments on Graphene, a Two-Dimensional Material". Graphene is a noteworthy material that is expected to be applied in many fields such as transparent conductive films, high-speed transistors, and seawater desalination plants due to its physical properties. Its possibility is still under researching.
